What is Time, Anyway?
When I was little, I used to fantasize about what life would be like in the year 2000. I could barely picture it as the number felt so foreign and far away, but I imagined robots and computers and being old! I never thought past 2000, it didn’t seem possible or in my realm of imagination – it’s like my brain just stopped at the turn-of-the-century. And yet, here we are, 23 years beyond 2000. In another two years we’ll be 25-years into the 2000’s, a quarter of a century, and careening toward the 21’s. It’s mind-boggling and baffling. And there are lots of robots and computers, so my 5-year-old self was on to something!
I picked my 2023 word, and it’s ROAR. Hoping to enter this new year with lioness energy, continuing to discover and use my voice. Do you have a word or phrase you establish for the new year?
